Our rooms
A room for twos, threes and fours

Twos room
Short routines, plenty of repeating and a lot of time at the art table and in the sand. A lead teacher and an assistant stay with the group all day.
Songs and short stories on the rug
Sand, water and paint within reach
Help with coats, shoes and hand washing

Threes room
Longer stretches of play with blocks, dress-up and the book nook, and the first small jobs, like setting out the snack table.
Block building and pretend play
A job each week, such as watering the plants
Songs with shakers and a drum on the rug

Fours room
The room for the year before kindergarten: bigger projects, more talk, and plenty of time to build, draw and try things out.
Projects that last for a few days
Drawing, letters and counting in the middle of play
