What families ask us
What ages and hours do you serve?
Children from 2 to 5 years old, in a Twos, a Threes and a Fours room. The doors are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and the programs run from three mornings a week to the full school day.
How does a tour work?
You visit on a weekday morning while the rooms are working. A teacher or Deion walks you through, and children are welcome to come along and play.
What sets tuition?
Your child's room and the schedule you choose, with extended care for the early and late hours. We go through the figures at a tour.
How is a place held, and how does the waitlist work?
A signed enrollment agreement and registration hold a place. When a room is full, we keep a waitlist by room and schedule and call families in order.
Is Buckeye Porch licensed?
Yes. We are licensed as a child care center by Ohio DCY.
What about toilet learning?
A child does not need to be toilet trained to join the Twos room. Teachers support toilet learning with each family, at the pace the child sets.
What happens on a hard day?
Every child has hard days. A teacher stays close, names the feeling and offers a quiet spot or a hug, whichever the child wants.
Do children go outside every day?
Yes, whenever the weather allows. We go out in boots and coats, and the yard is part of the day, not a break from it.
Who is in each room?
A lead teacher and an assistant, with a floating teacher who moves between rooms.
Still have a question?
Ask at a tour, or call the school.
